Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is the largest crude oil and natural gas company in India. Its registered office is at New Delhi, India. It is a state-owned enterprise of the Government of India, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Hazira Plant, Surat set up in 1985 & the largest sour gas-processing complex in the country, has presently been processing large amount of Sour Natural Gas and Sour Condensate to produce Sweet Gas & Value Added Products, viz. – LPG, Naphtha, ATF, HSD & Propane. The feedstock in the form of Sour Gas and Sour Gas Condensate is received at Hazira Plant from Mumbai offshore. The inputs in the form of gas and condensate are received at the Plant through two trunk lines of 36” and 42” diameter and about 240 Km of length, each. Hazira Plant Complex sprawls over an area of about 640 hectares with approx. 13 Kms. of peripheral boundary wall.
